Excursion on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 Those who are interested in the excursion need to pay $50 US. The excursion includes  Sailing by Dhow/Cruise and seeing Muscat coast:  The dhow is traditional wooden boat and these  were used from Oman, UAE to India, Iran and the other neighboring countries. See Muscat coast  through the eyes of ancient seafarers who plied this route for centuries. Have a brief stop at a natural  cove. Water and soft drink will be provided.  Visiting the old Souq of Muttrah: One of the most popular souqs in the Middle East. Take a walk in its  labyrinthine alleyways beckoning with a myriad of merchandise, from imported fabrics to exotic  Oriental spices, perfumes and richly handcrafted artifacts. A visit to this frenetic, pulsating hub of  Muscat's old quarter makes for a delightful experience. Here, scents of exotic Arabian perfumes and  spices float through the air. Other shops specialise in famous Omani khanjars (daggers), antiques,  traditional silver jewellery, and handicrafts in copper, camel bone, wood, leather and hand-made Omani  costumes.  Dinner: After the excursion, the group will go for a dinner at the Turkish Diwan Resturant. The dinner  is a mixed grill (fish+meet)+ Salad+Hot Bread+ Soft Drink.   The dinner is planned at 8:30pm.   More technical details about the excursion will be posted as soon as we know the exact number of participants.
Banquet on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 The conference banquet will be organized on Tuesday, May 28 at the Golden Tulip Hotel. The banquet is an open buffet, and the diverse menu is enough to satisfy vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike.
